CONNECTKL

Kuala Lumpur, 3 July 2026 – In today's fast-paced and increasingly digital lifestyle, many Malaysians find themselves spending more time on screens than in face-to-face conversations. Recognizing the importance of human connection and community well-being, HWC COFFEE today officially launched its ConnectKL campaign, a month-long community initiative encouraging people to slow down, reconnect and spend meaningful time together over coffee.

The campaign was officiated by YB Puan Hannah Yeoh, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), at ABOVE Event Space, Avenue K.

Running from 2 to 31 July 2026, ConnectKL invites Malaysians across the Klang Valley to take a simple 10-minute break from their daily routines, whether with colleagues, family members, friends or neighbours, or simply by taking a moment to recharge themselves. The campaign serves as a reminder that meaningful conversations and stronger communities often begin with small, everyday moments.

Speaking at the launch, Ms. Zenda, Chief Executive Officer of HWC COFFEE, said the campaign reflects the brand's commitment to creating positive social impact beyond serving quality specialty coffee.

"At HWC COFFEE, we believe coffee is more than just a beverage, it brings people together. Every day, we see colleagues catching up before work, families enjoying breakfast together, students studying, and friends reconnecting over coffee. Through ConnectKL, we hope to encourage Malaysians to put their phones aside, take just 10 meaningful minutes to reconnect, and appreciate the people who matter most. Sometimes, the simplest moments become the most meaningful."

To encourage greater participation, HWC COFFEE will be offering a special month-long gesture of appreciation. From 2 to 31 July 2026, customers who purchase any handcrafted beverage before 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, at participating HWC COFFEE outlets across Klang Valley will receive one complimentary HWC Bakery item or one pack of Brownie Crisp, while stocks last.

"At HWC COFFEE, we believe the spirit of Rahmah is reflected through kindness, generosity and caring for one another. Through this campaign, we hope our complimentary bakery offering encourages people to invite someone for coffee, share a simple bite together, and spend meaningful time with one another," added Ms. Zenda.

Operating Hours Notice: Participating HWC COFFEE outlets generally operate from 7:30am for standalone and office locations, 8:30am for shopping mall outlets, and 10:00am for selected mall locations. For the latest operating hours by outlet, please refer to HWC COFFEE's official social media channels.

Officiating the launch, YB Hannah Yeoh welcomed initiatives that encourage stronger communities through simple everyday interactions.

“Building a better Kuala Lumpur is not just about infrastructure. It is about creating more opportunities for people to connect, strengthening our communities and improving the quality of life for everyone who calls this city home.”

HWC COFFEE hopes ConnectKL will inspire more organizations and businesses to create initiatives that bring communities together while contributing positively to the well-being of Malaysians.

Throughout the campaign, members of the public are encouraged to share their meaningful coffee moments on social media using ConnectKL and tag @HWCCoffeeMY, inspiring others to reconnect with family, friends and their communities.

The complimentary bakery promotion is available at participating HWC COFFEE outlets across Klang Valley, excluding BAPE CAFE @ KLCC, HCK Outlet and Quack Quack @ Millerz Square.
